Humanitarian Food & Nutrition Assistance STTA Expert Arlington, VA

Required Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's degree in nutrition, social services, food security agriculture or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in the field of food security and nutrition assistance.
• In-depth knowledge of global food systems and food security frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop appropriate responses.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with the USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA), USAID Office of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP) or USAID/BHA in the delivery of humanitarian assistance is preferred.
• Familiarity with sustainable agriculture practices, including agricultural practices, such as crop cultivation, livestock management, irrigation systems, and sustainable farming methods.
• Familiarity with climate change impacts on agriculture and strategies for climate resilience.
