The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing engineering support for the civil design group. Typical projects include a wide variety of municipal and private development projects involving site layout and design and water/wastewater projects involving collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation. 

 Your role:                                 

·         Plan and design site improvement projects, including grading, drainage, roads, underground utilities, parking lots and other site features;

·         Plan and design water/wastewater/stormwater treatment, facilities/distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities projects;

·         Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;

·         Perform writing assignments to contribute to project documentation and deliverables such as memos and reports;

·         Assist design team to prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost opinions;

·         Prepare permit applications and support materials;

·         Provide onsite resident engineer responsibilities during the construction of a project to ensure contract design and specifications are being followed;

·         Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information;

·         Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design team;

·         Perform other related duties as assigned

 Qualifications: 

·         Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience

·         EI Certification

·         Civil or Environmental Engineering Degree required

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D

·         Proficiency in Excel, word processing and scheduling programs

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
