Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, electrical engineering or closely aligned degree.
  • 2-5 years’ minimum experience within the civil, structural, or electrical engineering field.
  • E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain within two years.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2011 - 2018).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Effectively communicate this information and respond to questions from clients, coworkers, company leadership, and members of the public. 
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices, construction specifications, procedures, means and methods, and documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable discipline specific engineering software.
  • Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Other Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or closely aligned degree is a plus.
  • P.E. or S.E. license or ability to become licensed within two years is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of commonly used engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, and procedures within the renewable energy services industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, design codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of renewable energy projects form pre-feasibility to decommissioning.
  • Ability to research and compile data, studies, and reports as required by clients, project managers or other disciplines.
  • Ability to prepare specifications and other requirements for issue for tenders and construction for renewable energy facilities.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment to deliver projects of varying complexity or products that exceeds client expectations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects including structural, geotechnical and/or marine engineering with working knowledge of database programs, GIS, and CAD.
  • Experience preparing decommissioning plans and cost estimates, conducting EMF studies, performing renewable resources assessments, conducting construction monitoring or condition assessment site visits.

 

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $125,000
