Electronics Technician
Job Description
LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an Electronics Technician to support to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in revolutionizing the National Airspace System (NAS) based in the Western USA.
Job Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct Move, Add and Change (MAC) work involving network telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices at FAA sites nationwide.
Perform light construction and electrical work (site preparation work) to support telecommunications infrastructure upgrades
Climb towers to install, align, or remove antennas and waveguide (if required).
Perform small-scale trenching using hand tools and light equipment (e.g., mini-excavators, skid steers, trenchers, drills, compactors).
Conduct technical site surveys and develop survey reports and support the development of installation plans in coordination with FAA stakeholders.
Provide technical support for voice-grade, data-comm, digital, and IP telecommunications cutovers.
Ensure compliance with FAA safety standards and Government telecommunications regulations.
Maintain and provide detailed documentation of as-built installations, repairs, and site conditions.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in IT networking, telecommunications, or electronics integration.
- Experience with LAN/WAN networking, IP-based telecommunications, and digital systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network and electronic systems.
- Understanding of FAA telecommunications, VoIP, and radio communications systems.
Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA or federal telecommunications/IT project experience.
- Experience with NextGen, LTE, VoIP, or cloud-based networking.
- Knowledge of FAA cybersecurity and digital communications standards.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or fiber optics certification.
- Familiarity with government contracting environments
- Understanding of FAA (or similar federal agency) processes, programs, policies, and/or systems
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-stakeholder, and team environments.

- Work location: Various sites across the USA
- Full time
- Non-Exempt
- Completely remote - You will work from home when not traveling to Washington, DC
- For hybrid roles: This arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion
- Work Hours: 8-4, some longer hours when on-site
- Travel: 50%

Physical requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
- Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
- Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
- Background check: Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
