Senior Electrical Engineer

About you:

• Educated to at least degree level in electrical engineering, building services engineering or architectural engineering
• Chartered and member of relevant body (working towards this will be considered)
• The skill set and passion for engineering with the ability to manage and deliver electrical engineering design across a wide range of sectors
• Experienced in the delivery of electrical services scope of work across multiple projects, as part of a multi discipline design team. Carrying out any or all stages of electrical design from concept to completion as required by the project
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative and the confidence to make decisions
• Ability to work well collaboratively, both internally and with external partners
• Good verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude
• Holds (or meet the criteria to hold) security clearance to MOD SC level
• Knowledge and experience in a range of digital tools including; AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit, Trimble (Amtech), NBS and Microsoft packages
• Proven track record of services project delivery, together with notable projects across a variety of sectors in electrical services design
• Proven ability to develop designs conscious of energy conservation, sustainability and with a knowledge basis of renewable technologies
• Fully conversant with technical and legislation requirements for electrical services equipment and installation design and management. Have a good knowledge of appropriate technical standards, with knowledge of defence standards being beneficial
• Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions on developing the discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
