Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical

The Position

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Perth team, reporting to the Section Manager. We seek a highly motivated, senior engineer to lead our electrical design solutions and project teams for timely project delivery.

You will be joining a team of forward-thinking professionals coming from a range of diverse backgrounds and will have the opportunity to work with some of the most influential and talented leaders in the industry.

Who we’re looking for.

·       Experience and technical ability to manage resources, financial performance, and delivery of multi-discipline projects as a project coordinator.

·       Complete engineering analysis and design of electrical systems as well as liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Knowledge of HV system is not a prerequisite but is seen as an advantage.

·       Apply the latest technologies to our ever-expanding workload of building services.

·       to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers and project coordinators.

·       Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including health, tertiary education, and the like

·       As a confident communicator who is articulate and confident in developing new and existing relationships, you will be working with like-minded individuals who are flexible in their approach to challenges, motivated, and share the ability to think laterally in delivering smart technical solutions to our clients.

Your Capabilities

·       Established experience in relevant professional engineering experience across the full project lifecycle and responsibility for delivering projects

·       Experience working within the building services sector utilising Australian building codes and standards.

·       Strong understanding of relevant Standards and Building Codes in your region.

·       Well-developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g. full design, design and construct)

·       Ability to exercise well-developed problem-solving skills and use substantial initiative and  judgement to work independently to meet objectives

·       Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.

Training & Development

NDY has a strong focus on the development of our staff and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. We will develop a career plan for each staff member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects from healthcare facilities through to commercial office developments and retail developments, both as new build and refurbishments.
